The apostle Paul did not go into positive thinking to simply conceal the shortcomings of the Corinthian church. He thanked God for the very things in the church that, though graciously given, also caused him grief.
“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” says 1 Thessalonians 5:18. In good times and bad? In sickness or in health? Why don’t you join us this Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, at 10:30 am (EST) to find out if that is doable.
If we miss the intention of God’s command, we will have difficulty subscribing to it, all the more obeying it. Worship and listen to His Word this Sunday as the Lord challenges us to stretch out our love for his commands. Share and invite too!
As we approach the Lord’s table, as we focus on the cross today, don’t look at it so much from our viewpoint. Think of the Lord’s death and His intention.
